----Yup,,,Dave can be just like the royal family. They have electrocuted their XKE. Of course, it's a travesty as the sound of an XKE at full RPM's is really something. My Father bought a new 65 XKE new. I drove it thru the 1st 200 or so miles. He said it was for me, but he lied. My younger brother by a different mother ended up with it after Dad's passing.....Bill S

Dave,

I am excited for you. I'm not sure you have learned though. Making announcements before you have the vehicle in your possession have ended badly before. I really looked forward to that judge build too..........

Ha! Right you're right Jason. So am I on the judge. Still bent out of shape about that. But when you get a deal sold by a pretty reputable people, you can post things a tad in advance knowing it's a done deal. Crap, maybe I should have waited

Well, whatever. It's getting loaded on a shipper shortly and I have the title in my hand so I'm pretty sure this one will stick!

So this thread has brought out some other midlife crisiseseses.

More details when it gets here. Bought another something yesterday too of the German persuasion, but it's not classic enough to post

Cheers
Dave

You're a glutton for punishment. I had a '68 Triumph Bonneville many years ago. That was enough Lucas electric for me.

Around here, you need a Harley for your manhood extension.
I was 48 when I bought this new, with a 38 yr old wife and a 4 yr old son...

I'm sure everything will be just fine. I feel like Jaguars are much like boats. The best day of your life are the day you get them and the day you sell them. The seller would be a fool to back out. In all seriousness, I'm stoked for your and you bought a good one. That wiring is a pain when cars sit unattended. As long as you use that baby, you will be fine.

----Loved my Triumph Bonnies! Had three 650's. Two were mostly stock and the third was a TT Special. Loved that one, although strictly speaking, it wasn't legal for the street, but I lived in the Ohio countryside and nobody was watching!!!.....Bill S

Dave, go ahead and share that other German buggy that you bought in here, I don't think it's a problem to post in a thread something that's not old muscle or classic and I'd love to see it. I'm just guessing but I imagine it's something from Stuttgart?

My brother-in-law just got a new 911 Carrera in GT Silver he ordered that's a beauty, and another friend ordered a new 911 Turbo that he finally got and then sold it a month after for $100K more than he paid. That market is nuts.

Yes it is, Mark. I found this 2018 and had to jump on it. It's an auto, unfortunately, but Kelly will probably be driving it the most and she hates the clutch.

This should arrive right after the Shaguar. Now I just gotta build a bigger museum!

Cheers
Dave

PS: future plans for the the Shag to come...
