Default 1969 Blue Maxi Z-29 C/D Camaro

I was digging through some of my old magazines and found a couple old Car and Driver Issues from Late 1969 with a couple feature stories on the Blue Maxi Camaro that was eventually given away to some lucky reader. I have not found anything on the net on this car. Does this car still exist? Any leads to other web sites with info on it? From what little info I found it was an RS/SS, 4-speed with a 1970 LT-1, and even A/C and they dubbed it the one and only "Z-29". Car is wearing some American Racing 200s and fat Goodyear rubber and looks plain wicked by 1969 standards!

There is some info about this car in John Hooper's 1969 Camaro Reference Book. The Camaro was won by Nicholas Ferrara, a quality control specialist from NJ, and was then sold to Gerald Schmidt who worked at the dealership where the official "winner" of the car traded it in for a new Z28 within a few months of winning. As of 1991, Schmidt still owned the car, and kept it very original, replacing only maintennence items. I don't know if he still owns it or not.

RE:"Camaro was won by Nicholas Ferrara"

I wonder if he could have been related to Dennis Ferrara that drove for Motion?

I remember seeing the Blue Maxi as late as about 1990. I saw it last in the Pocono Mts in PA at the International Camaro Club's national convention. The car was very nice at that time and I even still somewhere have a video I shot of it!
