Default 1969 z28 open element air cleaner

Looking to buy an original 69 Z open element air cleaner.
My cars original one got ditched very early on for a cowl induction setup.

Looking for an original one with silk screening under the lid.

Chrome doesnt have to be perfect, just presentable.

Thanks for the Ad Steve and Yenko.net!!!!!

Mike I have a couple of them in storage, with the correct 30-degree angled vent tube. I will have to check the silk screening though. Am I right in thinking it should be straight (rather than curved) for the 69 MY?

The silk screening should be straight.

Okay, yes thats correct on the screening being straight. I am interested to see what you have.

I know you can find the 6423907 NOS air cleaners, but they dont have the screening on them.

I may end up going that route if nothing else.

I have sent NOS chrome lids to Paragon to have the silk screen printed, I believe they charge $55

Just dug it out, but photos were terrible in artificial light. I will get some in daylight and post in the morning. I think this is the original one from my car, the lid has the straight silk screen printing underneath, and remains of the original paper-backed 302 decal on top. Underside of the lid has some soot residue, so not sure how that would clean up without possibly affecting the silk screening though.....

Here's the pictures.
I haven't made any attempt to clean it up yet, so it is dusty and sooty.
But the chrome is probably not going to meet your expectations of 'presentable'. Especially with the ratty original decal.
I have another lid that is in better shape, but it does not have any silk screening remaining underneath.
You may be better off getting a NOS lid and the screening applied by Paragon, as Jeff suggested.....
