The Corvair is stock 9413. The highest VIN for a 69 Corvair is 6000, So they did not use the VIN on it for the stock number

That sure is a lot of 427 cars for sale late in the year

In the Don Yenko interview , He said he had a lot of trouble selling them after word got out of high insurance cost

One original owner told me they wanted $1000 for insurance on his new Yenko Chevelle

I was going to buy a 1970 hemi 'cuda in 1974 for 1,400.00. Good deal but insurance would've been 1,100.00 a year. I was 17....Joe

While I will not say that someone didn't do it that way, it would not be a common practice for a New Car/ Mutli line dealer to use the vehicle VIN or part of as a stock number.
