Wow, according to the letter from Oldsmobile shown in the auction photos, there were only 30 Cutlass hardtop coupes built with the RamRod engine!

The car was sold new in Richmond, CA in 1968 which is where I lived at the time off of Hilltop Drive. Pretty cool. I wish the seller hadn't hidden the former owner's address on the old registration.

Not so. There were 30 Cutlass Supreme hardtop Ram Rods. This particular example is not a “Supreme” trim level. Admittedly, it can get confusing, but the “Cutlass Supreme” does carry a specific VIN.
