1961 Impala Bubble Top, Dual quad, 409, 4speed, Posi

Life long California Car, One piece bumpers, very solid, minor rust, real patina.

New door panels, carpet and and seat covers. Originals were too far gone to save.

I'm assuming the motor isn't original, as I thought only the Impala SS got the 409 option in 1961. Do you know what year and horse power the motor is? Or is the car original?

The engine and trans are not original to the car. It's an X-Block so later date. Just an old skool hot rod, right out of California.

The car appears to have been an original 348 with three in the tree, 3.70 posi and dual exhaust. The 409 is 1965 and the 4 speed transmission is a Saginaw. Has new brakes and springs front and rear, flow master exhaust.

I have a couple of NicKey Built for Boost LS engines available for extra cost or trade out the 409 for credit. Great Power Tour candidate.

How on earth is this car still for sale? Just saw it on Ebay for $24k @ no reserve, see link below.

If I had more space this one would be sitting in the garage.
