Another Hugger Orange RS/Z28
I just acquired a twin (not an identical twin) to my RS/Z. It wasn't a car I was searching for; in fact, I was performing an inspection on a 69 Z28 for a customer. How this came to be six weeks earlier Howard old friend from PA called and asked if I could verify if a Z28 his friend owned. I requested some pics but never received any. Since I was heading in that area I decided to call him and he decided to call the owner and get back to me. After inspecting the RG Z28 I received a text requesting I look at the RS/Z. I headed there and the car was sitting in the driveway. I verified Vin's, trim tag and component stampings and headed home with pics to complete a report. The next day I showed my wife the pics and discussed the car and she said, "why don't you buy it". I called Eric the owner and told him I was interested, and he was thrilled. The next week hooked up my trailer and picked the car up.
It was previously owned by a famous member of this site around 2001. This car has a fantastic history, and I will write up a detailed feature for Members Rides in the next month. Here are a few pics. Great documentation, original window sticker, POP.
I searched the name on the POP and located the original owner who was quite enthusiastic about discussing the car. He had a great recollection of the car and even provided me a copy of the original invoice!
