Did Don Yenko ever put his aluminum blocks in cars?? or was it just an after market part???

I believe it was an over the counter racepart only. I have seen a statement by Tom Clary about this, but I can´t find it right now.

As far as we know, Yenko never installed one of their aluminum engines in a car for resale. The reason I say for resale, may have installed some in race cars.

Yenko did not get the rights to the ZL-1 block until the mid '70s, by which time the EPA had shut down Yenko's engine modification program, (turbo Vegas). Seems the majority of the blocks were used for boats and stock cars.

Wasn't there a '69 for sale within the past year or so that was advertised as a 'Real Yenko' but was really a 'converted by' car? . I believe the seller had separate Yenko Parts dept. receipts for the motor stuff and a Service work order for the install? . I think it had one of the blocks w/ the Logo (mid 70's?), not the earlier 'YENKO word' blocks? .

It may have been red but I'm bad on colors, always have been. . Growing up in the wrecking yard also like a lot of you guys who lived through the magical 50's/60's/70's can usually tell what exact year most cars are. . But colors, good luck...an hour later I've usually forgotten? .

Yep, that's the one...the rare 2 door sedan! .
And it's the earlier YENKO word block, not the later logo style like I'd thought. .
Where/when did the stripe pkg. get added...is the paperwork there on that link? .
