69 Z28 Same casting date as pad date.
Has anybody ever seen the same date? Hugger Orange 69 Z28 RS in NC on EBAY. Casting says C-12-9 and pad is V0312DZ.

Yes, it is possible that engine assembly occurred same day as block was cast.

I believe I have seen two. Also had a block that was only one day apart.
not the norm, but possible.

My assembly date is 0912DZ; Cast date is I108. 2 Days.

My 1966 Corvette 327/300 block was cast 11/22/65 and assembled 11/23/65.

I've had same day cast/build dates on small blocks. As long as everything looks good, don't worry about it. The built them "warm" sometimes. :-)

Interestingly the ad says both 186 heads are dated C219.....

Maybe just a typo ? Assuming C129 the heads were also cast on the same day !
