Re: 63 Impala SS 409-425 Horse
----Tim,,,This 409 would benefit from a set of correct whitewalls. Its not that I am any kind of a whitewall freak, but a black 63 SS needs the white stripes to look "right"!!! If it was a black two door post ordered for racing or something similar I might be persuaded otherwise, but the owner will get back more than the price of those whitewall tires by far at auction.....Bill S

Bill is right on, a set of 1" wide bias ply whitewalls would really make a big difference and please don't think I'm pick'n but get a correct master cylinder for it. These two items would more than pay for themselves. Really nice and very desirable car. Good luck with the sale, wish my toy box wasn't so full!!

Re: 63 Impala SS 409-425 Horse
It could whitewalls to dress it up a bit. We don't know if it had them originally. We hope to have the master cylinder corrected for the auction.

Guess I'm the only one that likes the blackwall look.

Re: 63 Impala SS 409-425 Horse
I'm w/ you two too, thin or wide the only whitewalls I like are those spun to the inside.
I do like redlines though and white letters too! That said, the whitewall advice above is still best for buyer appeal. CL 9'er! ~ Pete

Re: 63 Impala SS 409-425 Horse
I too like the blackwalls better. I would paint the top back to white as it is too unique to not restore that back.
very cool car! |

Re: 63 Impala SS 409-425 Horse
White roof along with some period correct M/T super stock cheaters on the back would do it for me.

Re: 63 Impala SS 409-425 Horse
I think the skinny Cragers and black walls would look good.
