Default 1969 Z/28 Help needed

Friend is thinking about buying this 1969 Z/28 and need opinions on cowl tag and block numbers. Do these look original? Any and all help is appreciated.

Trim tag and assy stamp look good and fall into the proper date range, and the VIN sequence looks good too. I have an 01B Z28, Seq 580062 with 1227DZ stamp. Odd though, I believe my VIN is stamped down by the oil filter, not on the block deck.

Check down by the oil filter too for the stamp and compare this stamp to the one on the transmission case.

The V0107DZ stamping does not match another known original. Body tag ok.

That car would have been made about the last day of January which was a Friday. I would think it would be an O1E car. VIN should def be down by oil filter.

When was the transition from the pad to the oil filter area? The stampings look good to me and am anxious to buy the car. Who else can chime in on this? THANKS

Proceed with caution! The trans is not original to this car and the VIN on the deck is definitely questionable. Lot of money for a lot wrong!

Listen to William. Or just buy acknowledging the engine stamping is not orig and price it accordingly.
