Default Do you have a holy grail day 2 piece?

I know some of us love the day 2 stuff and want what we once had or lusted after as kids. Do you have a piece of day 2 that totally eludes you? What is it?

For me it was the air cleaner that got stolen in my driveway of my first apartment. I came out of my house to go to work one morning and found the hood up on my Camaro and the air cleaner, breathers and hood pins were gone. It could have been worse, they could have left it non drivable by stealing the carb.

Fast forward 10 years. I started to look for the exact one I had on it. Yah right. No such luck. It seems that air cleaners are disposable and cheap so nobody keeps the rusty ones. It took 15 years to find a new one in the box after buying every crappy one I could find (which is not many let me tell you)

Mr. Gasket 6420!

Years ago, late 70s early 80s, I had a pair of 90/10 shocks on a Camaro. Stamped into the shocks was Thrush Canada. I always wondered if it was the same company that sold Thrush and Hush Thrush mufflers. Though I haven’t been actively looking, to this day I have yet to see another pair of them.
Has anybody had or are familiar with these shock absorbers?

This is a good topic Scott.

I know a brother of a friend who worked for many years at Thrush Canada. I’ll ask.

I put Hooker sidepipes on my first Camaro, even though I cursed them (burnt legs, header leaks and scraping on speedbump), I did love the sound of them!

long discontinued for 1st gen Camaros, I did finally find a used set for wall art (at the very least) Maybe I should buy the muffler inserts before those are discontinued too!

Default Thrush Drag Shocks

Rod

Yes Thrush did make Drag Shocks. Here are a couple of adds my Brother saved when he worked in the shop in Toronto. I believe some of the items were carry overs from Drag Dimensions which Thrush bought out.

Sonic Turbo Mufflers.

Had them back in the late 80s on my 69 Nova run to the rear axle with turn downs through Blackjack headers. Sounded great pulling into the high school parking lot..
