Frank,
Neat photo postcards.

Here's one from the town I live in now, circa 1920

Chicago's North Side. Linclon & Halsted circa 1909.

Now ground zero of Chicago's worst ghetto. Madison St. & Pulaski circa 1910.

This is the aftermath of one of Chicago's most infamous moments. The St. Valentines Day Massacre of 1929, courtesy of Al Capone. This photo sold for $800.00 on e-bay a few months ago. Free for your viewing pleasure.

[b] Great shots Bill - Ma & Pa Kettle - did we really watch movies like that??

Frank your older shots really show the change in our world in the fifty or so years between the settings.
It's amazing!

Are you sure of the date on that Maxwell Street shot? - I don't remember all those hats in '69.

Here's my gas line shot Pete - but yours has much cooler cars!!

It would be really cool to see some comparison shots of the same locations now right below the old scenes, just to see how much things have changed. I bet half of the places wouldn't be recognizable as being the same place.

Great photos, Glenn, please keep posting them!

Interesting to note that Michael Sarrazin was the star of both of those 1969 movies -
