69 Yenko Camaro for sale on Hemmings
I noticed there is a 69 Yenko Camaro for sale on Hemmings. It is Hugger Orange with black stripes and a black vinyl top. It has X66 trim and is a 4 speed car that according to the seller was sold new at Colonial Chevrolet in Norfolk VA. There are no interior pictures, but it appears to have a tach sending unit on the firewall. Does anybody know which car this is? The options and selling dealer don't match to any of the cars in the registry. The only Hugger Orange with black vinyl top 4 speed car from Colonial that I see is Dru Diesners'. His is an 06A X44 car. Here is a link to it. https://hemmings.com/classifieds/car...o/2423149.html

This hugger orange vinyl top 4 speed Yenko is in the American muscle car museum collection. I saw it back in 2018. The white Yenko beside it did come from Jack Douglas. The dealer for this car was Gates Chevrolet. It’s the clockwork orange Yenko.

I knew Member Enio45 had owned the Clockwork car but wondered if the Orange Yenko Bill Hunter bought new and returned w/ engine troubles to swap for his DY Yenko was the same one but digging deeper, the Clockwork car is from Gates Mishawaka and Bill's two Yenkos from Gates' other location in South Bend. ~ Pete .

According to my count there are 9 Hugger Orange 69 Yenko Camaros with black vinyl tops and 4 speeds. I have seen 8 of the 9 and they are all X11 and X44 cars. The only one I haven't seen is the one that was in the trailer in Wisconsin that was found several years ago. I don't know what happened to that car. The Gates car above used to be owned by Ed Montini. Coincidentally I just bought a new car that was dealer transferred from Gates. They are still in business.

The Orange Yenko that Bill Hunter bought new is an original paint car that is/was owned by Mic Price. It is an X66 car and doesn't have a vinyl top.
