Joe was able to make the purchase of the frame, piece the body back together, and restore the car.

That location (18 & 1/2 Mile Near Van Dyke Rds) is still a salvage yard today, associated with the US Auto Supply brand.

When I first saw those pics Warhoops is what popped into my head, I remember as a teenager crawling thru that place at least once a month. Even though it was used by GM to dispose of cars it was a hot spot for some Mopar gems back in the day.

In 2016 I stopped in there on a whim and it's now a U-Pull salvage yard, anyways I spotted a very cool 100% complete 1983 Capri RS sitting in the way back and bought it, really solid Texas car with lots of goodies on it, Motorsport wide body kit, Recaro interior, Compmotive 3-piece wheels, roll bar etc, got it home and brought it back to life from it's 20 year slumber.

I sold it to a guy in Methuen Massachusetts in 2018, no idea if he still has it or not.
