I love this thread too

I see Old Reliable had some dents:



will try to dig up some period pics to add, that 1969 Mach1 Mustang hit a pole at a very high rate of speed, but it appears the driver may have lived ... wonder if the snow tires had anything to do with the loss of traction ...

this pic is the texas side of state line ave in texarkana texas-ark. i once bought a 61 belair from the plunkett motor company in the background in 1966.

Pretty sure that's the parking lot at the Cleveland National Air Races, viewed from atop the main grandstand. Could be 1939, the last year of the races before war broke out, but it could be postwar, 1946-49. Cars all look pre-war though.
