Default Concourse Restored 1969 Correct markings, paint ta

All you guys and gals that have been asking for "What are the Correct" Markings, Paint Dabs, Firewall Caulk Marks, Stickers and Decals, etc.

I will prepare and share with everyone all that I have learned. But I do not claim to know everything there is to know.

I wish to make a personal "How to" restoration book of how to properly duplicate such 1969 Concourse Markings of the originals.

Now what we do know for certain is that certain GM plants did things a little different from others.

Anyone that has every restored a 1969 Chevelle.....I need everyone`s help and effort in providing me photo`s of your findings. If you can provide any unusual Markings, Paint Dabs, Firewall Caulk Markings, Stickers, Decals, Trunk Seal Marks, etc. from your restoration project pictures, please post them here or email me the pictures to......

Please specify of where your 1969 Chevelle was built and what the picture illustrates.

There have been many Beautifully Restored 1969 Chevelles by many, let us share our secrets and findings so we can continue to restore these great Chevelles for many years to come.

Thank You,
Dan Vasic

Dan - great idea! Thanks for stepping up. I'll see what I can dig up to help populate your reference database.

Dan, here are pictures of the side of my firewall with the driver’s side fender off. "269" are the numbers and they correlate with my sequential number on the trim tag.

I believe that there are a lot of other cars with the same markings.

Also, these are the paint marks that are on my driveshaft. I am not sure what the exact colors are.

03B Kansas built '69 SS convertible that Dave (ngtflyr) and I restored a few years back. "335" found on heater box and side of cowl do not match the TT as mentioned earlier in this thread:
