Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
I had one of those - bought it new to put a 350/350 in. Used a Don Hardy kit cause the counter guy at
Motion was an a-hole! Took delivery in Feb '74 right in the middle of the oil embargo - took real brains to pull out a 4cyl at that time! I was living in Queens Village at the time and destroyed it on the city streets in no time! Here's a shot the day I brought it home from Rupp in Lynbrook. - - -

Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
This car was given to my brother-in-law by his dad in the late 70's . it was a beat up car when he got it . he was 14 at the time and had two years before getting his license.
The car was his mothers and when she was done with it , it bacame a project for him. good way to keep your kid occupied. He named it Second Chance. Then years down the road my wife got it for her 18th birthday . when we met in high school in the eighties this is what it looked like and we drove it everyday back then. |

Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
+++ Al +++ It's it great going back in time, I made several mistakes along the line... One, getting married, 41 years later still paying the price for that, and secondly Buying a Corvair, the abuse I've gotten over that, just on a daily bases..you know sometimes it's my own darn fault for be so dumb,++ Getting Married that is ++ I just made it worst with that Flat 6 cyl. sitting in my garage... ++ Al ++ really enjoyed the pictures, there are so few people on this site, or any site for that matter that really care anything about are car's /// Covairs /// The price we pay just to play.....Kasey ....

Re: Scene (seen) on the Street
How much is the drag Camaro?
Cool in its own way .... Here is an item you don't see everyday, most people haven't seen one for over 30 years & the plates are current ... : This is sitting in front of a house on a main street less than 5 minutes south of the Pavilions ...
