Default Deuce shifter arm fitment

hi

need some help guys

just putting the original deuce shifter assembly back in my car.....and the 4177 shifter arm itself just slides in the shifter mechanism.

i am finding it is snug but not really firm......there is no bolts that hold it in place.........dont want it to come out when driving and shifting hard

so is there a way to adjust/ tighten the fit of the 4177 arm into the shifter assembly itself

hope i am making myself clear here....LOL

thanks for the help

regards
chris
