They're bigger than you think if you're used to the size of the first gen Bronco. Here's one with the Sasquatch package next to a Wrangler and the Wrangler has some lift and 33's and looks small.

Ha, that's not me, just some random guy on the interweb. And I'm not sure about the Sasquatch Package claim, his feet don't look that big!

We placed a "reservation" for a Bronco on July 14, 2020 within just a few hours of the announced initial opening. Nearly two years ago.
We took delivery a few weeks ago, February 17, 2022. Initially, Ford accepted our order in March of 2021. There were many options we wanted that had "constraints", Sasquatch Pkg, Hard Top, 2.7 engine. The biggest delay was the Hard Top. Original production had delamination problems so they had to redesign/fix those issues and also replace all the tops that were already delivered on completed vehicles. Last Summer, due to the top issues and other constraints, Ford announced that if they did not schedule our order by September, we'd have to place an order for a 2022. They held off on the price increase for us. Had we changed our order to a Soft Top we probably would have gotten a 2021 last October. Two door Broncos only come with Hard Tops so that has really affected their ability to produce two door models. We were informed of a 1/24/22 production week, and ultimately a "blend date" of 1/25/22 (Body drop). The car was built that week but due to control module delays, it was placed in a Michigan holding lot for a few days awaiting the part. The Bronco was delivered to Victor Ford in Wauconda, IL on February 17 showing 32 miles on the odometer, and it was in our garage four hours later. So far we only have 163 miles on it. I absolutely love the way it drives. It is my wife's vehicle. It replaced a 2017 Yukon which she disliked due to the number of blind spots. Victor Ford had an initial allocation of 50 Broncos and ours was only their 11th. delivered at that point. I have no regrets or complaints. I've seen videos of guys running low 6 second 0-60 times and 5.8 with exhaust and tune. We installed Go Rhino steps which make it easy to climb in and out. |

I think our Bronco was actually part of the bunch shown in this video that was produced Feb 5, 2022. At 1:36 you can see what appears to be tech's working under-hood on a vehicle.

Wow, that's like the lot up in Ontario with all the Hellcats stuck in shipping limbo. The problem is that they are now shipping the cars that come directly off the assembly line, so they dont have to move them to an already filled lot...but they arent shipping the long time sitting vehicles that are in that lot because they dont have enough truckers to move them out!

Ok, just to follow up since it's always a good thing to do. I sold my 2010 Silverado reg cab short bed pickup a month ago and had to scramble to try to find a Bronco with the Sas package that I liked at msrp. I probably contacted 30-40 dealers from TX to MA and found Premier Ford in Brooklyn that had a 2 door base Sas in transit for msrp so I put a deposit on it. Got the truck a little over a week ago and so far it's great. My first new vehicle in 26 years so I need to get used to some technology but it has the twin turbo 2.7 v6 and 10 speed auto and rides/drives really nice. I'm used to short pickups but this thing is really short so I don't have to help people move any more! I came stock with the side steps, front mod bumper with the steel skid plates, brush bar and aux switches inside. Apparently, it was someone else's order that abandoned it so the dealer let me grab it in transit. I think this is around the same width as a Tacoma pickup, definitely not as wide as my Silverado, but the 2 door is shorter than a of small cars.
