Default '63 Mercury Marauder, R-Code 427/425hp/4-sp

Seller seems like a piece of work, and the original block is gone, but still a neat (if overpriced) project.

That's been for sale for a while. He's so belligerently angry that the world doesn't think its worth what he wants it to be worth. It would be a great car (red/red R code S55 bucket seat car) to do, but its not really worth more than an R code Galaxie, even though they made thousands of 427 Galaxies and only a handful of Mercs. I'd like to see him ask $25k for it as a roller so someone will actually spend $100k restoring it into an almost $100k car. I know R code Mercs have hit six figures before, but its not something you can count on, IMO.

Agree with you guys...wish this one would go reasonably to a good home and get restored.

Instead, it has been relisted in the link below for $70,000...a $5000 premium from the last no-sale auction. Totally logical.
