Default 15x8” Rocket Racing Wheels needed

I was thrilled to find a mint pair of original 15x8” Rocket Racing Wheels along with a matching mint pair of 15x4” RR wheels. I took the 15x8” pair to a local tire shop, that a friend recommended, with a pair of vintage L60-15” tires to mount. They were busy, but said they’d fit them in if I wanted to wait. Fifteen minutes turned to 45 minutes when the owner came out to say they had a little problem. Turns out, the guy on the machine not only bent the rim of one of the wheels... he spent the rest of the time hammering and putting a wrench on the rim trying to straighten it out. Maybe the customer won’t notice?! Now, the rim isn’t just bent, the chrome is pitted from hammering and the rim has cracked next to where the wrench was applied. What a frickin nightmare. This couldn’t have happened on a set of wheels that could easily be replaced? Anyway, I somewhat kept my cool even though I wanted to yell and throw something.

The tire shop is offering to repair the wheel or replace it to my satisfaction so I’m looking for a single or pair of 15x8” Rocket Racing Wheels in a GM or uni-lug pattern. I’d even buy a set of four if I have to. I haven’t seen any on eBay or craigslist for a long time. Any help would be appreciated.

Sorry to hear that happened Helmut. Next time, go see Kenny at Harpers 4th Street SE. Best vintage tire & rim guy around and has all the right tools. Tom Harper has always treated me well there, and Kenny is the best.
