Default Beautiful '70 Mustang Sportsroof, 24k Miles, Orig Paint

Amazing car...evidently sold new to a Catholic priest and obviously well taken care of. Bob Perkins seems to own, or have owned, some of the coolest Fords ever....

Perkins has had the most incredible low mile Mustangs, for sure. This one is exceptional, but he mentions removing Ziebart undercoating, which means there’s probably holes and plugs in the door jamb/rockers. If you look at the open door pic, there’s like 4 of them visible. It’s a nitpick but all those plugs detune me on cars I look at for myself.

Zeibart was one of the fastest ways to ruin a new car. Seems like half of new cars in Chicago got that defilement in the 70s and early 80s. Must have been a great time in business for the company that made those little yellow plugs.

Rusty Jones for me,the dealership said I had to come in 4X a year for a rust inspection,or void the rust warranty.
I couldn't run away fast enough.

Good old Rusty Jones!

One of my best friends worked for Vogue in the mid-1980s through the late 2000s. He knew the F&I manager at just about every Cadillac and Lincoln dealership in Illinois, Wisconsin, and Michigan. Some of the upsells back in the day were epic! Rusty Jones, Vogue Tyres, and a carriage top? Yes, please!
