Default Looking for L78 396

I stumbled upon this older add from 2007 for a 396-375HP L78 engine. I have attached the add to the post. Turns out this is the original engine for the Chevelle that I have owned for about 30 years. The engine was gone when I purchased the car. The T0310JD B362705 match the numbers on my build sheet exactly. The gentleman that posted the add no longer has possession of the engine nor does he have any information about the buyer. If anyone has any information on this engine, please contact me at 724-272-1162. I think the seller lived in Ohio when the engine was sold. I would love to return this engine back to where it started life. Thank you very much. I appreciate any help!

I bought an M22 for my COPO from Dennis. At that time (2018) he lived NE of Cleveland, Ohio. Hard to say if this L78 engine sold in that area or not, but that's where he lived.

Not actually a musclecar search, but I would post on the Fb lost muscle car page.

I'd reach out to Mark Meldrum. He's active in the Northern Ohio Chevelle Club, and has his finger on the pulse of all things Chevelle in that area...

I just recently bought a 69 L78 JD coded motor but its from a Kansas built car! After seeing your listing I had to go check the vin number on it. Good luck finding your motor.

Good to see that jnorge73 did post in the Orphan Parts thread on this site. There's a reasonably good chance that someone from this site either bought the engine he's looking for, or was somehow involved in the sale. Best of luck!
