Solid Lifters w/ EDM Oiling Wanted SBC
I am looking for a set of EDM Small Block Solid Lifters w/ Oiling Holes if anyone has a set they aren't currently using? Seems they are backordered and I could sure use a set if anyone has a spare, or a set that could be replaced later? Happy to buy them outright, trade for them, or replace them once they become available again?
Comp #800-16, Isky SO202H or I would also use Howards EDM series or Crower / Lunati Cool Face Lifters. Anyone?

I've used the Crower EDM solid lifters in a couple of my builds and never had a problem with them, great choice for a solid lifter motor. Also, I inspect them under a magnifying glass and measure them prior to installation and they all have been perfect.
I'll check with my buddy, he usually has a couple sets on the shelf. |

If you have a standard set you may consider taking them apart and finding a local tool shop with a "hole popper" EDM. I had a set done and it took about an hour and it was 100 bucks. Its the same process Crower and Howards uses.
You can even do it on a set of used lifters that have been broke in to the cam. Just mark the lifter to the lobe.

What size is the hole and where is it located? I have access to a hole popper and would like to do a set that I'm installing in a big block now.

Some are on center and some are offset a quarter inch. Different thoughts on what is best. I put 0.018 diameter holes on center in mine. Howards does a 0.021 diameter. Crower does 0.024 or 0.012. Comp Cams does 0.012
0.018 is about equal to a 1/16" diameter open hole in the oil system.

Lots of chatter about the size of the hole making a noticeable difference on oil pressure? I like the comp EDM lifters but they've been wiped out (pardon the pun) on lifters for over 18 months. Most of the lifter stock comes from one of the big two cam core manufacturers and these things have been on backorder with most companies (Isky, Comp, Lunati, Howards) for well over a year now and it isn't going to get any better for a while yet so I am told.
