Default '68 Biscayne 427/425hp Clone

Interesting to see a buddy's old Biscayne being resold as a 'matching numbers' 425hp 427 car when it was in fact a built car. That said, it is a very nice ride, but someone will be disappointed if they pay #s money for this one.

Boy! "Matching Numbers" sure doesn't mean what it used to! I'll play the Devil's advocate and wonder if the current owner BOUGHT the car as "Matching Numbers" and is selling it as such based on his purchase.....or is the seller trying to hook a fish.
The ad is a bit deceptive with some clever wording describing the numbers on the block.
Cool car nonetheless.

Notice the VIN is disguised so you can’t tell if it was an original V8 car, likely originally a 6 cylinder car??

Also, in the text it says building plant was P for Pontiac. Looks like pad says G for Framingham?

It’s pretty obvious he’s describing the car as “numbers matching”.

Chevelle shifter, bezel and boot. The correct bezel and boot are very hard to come by not to mention the 4 speed hump.

This is the car that was for sale in Detroit. I bought it about 15 months ago with the full intention of replacing the 4 wheel disc brakes with standard drums so I could use stock wheels and dog dish but I hadn't got around to it when the current owner seen it and wanted it. When I bought it the seller in Detroit represented it as a clone, the current owner bought it from me with the full understanding that it is a clone and I sold it at a price that was very fair for a nice clean body clone.
