Default Newly purchase 68 z/28 having a good day...

Have not posted here in a long time, but had to share some recent experience.

A friend noticed a post on lost muscle cars on facebook, and it was my 68 camaro z I got only a few weeks ago. The guy was looking for the car for 35 yrs.

Anyways, keep tabs on this website if you ever wondered about your car's missing history. My blue Z is the car that at the top at the moment.

I saw that post first thing this morning, so it's pretty cool that it was your car.

I was excited when he told me it had a M22 in it, I only checked the numbers on the trans and engine and did not pay attention on the trans and rear end (a 4:10). The hood was done by the first owner that got the car new at Nickey to drive more air into the cross-ram. I am not putting that back on the car but it is cool that someone experimented the way they saw fit (he saw a race car in Elkhart lake he copied). He said the first owner got everything he ever put on the car from that dealership. I am trying to figure out the headers that were on it I think my friend threw out. I atleast have pictures.

My friend Darren had a 70 L78 camaro with an M22 and I loved the sound of that trans. Looking forward to hearing this one now that I know it has that.

yes, that is the car, I have a video of us 'not racing' somewhere that he took from inside his car. sound was nice. I finally looked closely at the trans I picked up from my friends house (still getting parts) and it is a M21. Second owner was a bit off on what he thought the trans was.
