Default 67 Tail Light chrome

I’m getting ready to have some pieces from my 67 re-chromed and I noticed some textured black paint on the bezels around the lens (non RS). My question is if anyone has been able to duplicate this finish? Do later NOS pieces have the same finish?

Paul, the texture is in the metal itself, it is not a textured paint.

Exactly, apparently your paint hasn't peeled off to reveal the texture. Many do.

If the polished rim has pits that need filled, the plater will need to be very careful not to polish the texture off inside that rim.

Thanks guys, much appreciated. Yes, the paint is all still there. The only pitting appears to be on the outside rim.
