Bill Boye Yenko Stormer Z at Daytona in July '67 for the Paul Revere 250 night race. Shown is the original flat hood with hood pins at the four corners. In '68 at Daytona the car had an SS hood on it. When I asked Bill Boye about it he said the tech inspectors did not like that he had cut out a lot of the underside support structure to the hood so they made him change it. The quickest hood he could find happened to be for an SS and he had it repainted in time for the race.

Of note, the Don Yenko/Jerry Thompson car had a tinted windshield and the car crashed by Mark Dillon also had one. Both the Boye and Gates Yenko Stormers has clear windshields when new.
