Default Special Order Blue-on-Red '65 Corvette Convertible

Beautiful color combination that works surprisingly well. However, I don't understand why this would be a COPO as claimed; it's nothing more than a special-order color combination that likely overrided the recommended combinations.

I like that color combination, it always worked well on the 289 Cobras of the day, too.

Only a COPO if they made a special run of these in quantity. A small number of special paint cars through the entire production run is just a special paint option. My opinion.

----I think the COPO idea 1st came from Terry Michaelis. He has listed other non-available Corvette color combos for sale as COPOs. This may be one......Bill S

I believe the COPO call out comes from a COPO code being in the upper right hand box like this silver/red 1967. Some folks say that using available paint/interior colors don't make it a COPO just because they cannot be ordered together without authorization.
