Default 8th. Annual

The 8th. Annual Gibb Show will be Aug. 5th. this year. we will have 42 classes. We are working on a couple of new things for the show. There will not be a cruise in Macomb Fri. night. I encourage everyone to go to Monmouth Fri. night, LaHarpe Sat. and Macomb Sat night. Flyers will be mailed out within the week, IF you don't get one you can let me know or go to our web page where one will be available for downloading. Hope everyone has a great year and we will plan on seeing you in Aug if not before, May God Bless Ken

I got my flyer today, and am making plans to attend. Does anyone have the hotel info for Monmouth. We would like to stay at the one on the West side of town (was Heartland Inn) but I think they changed their name.

Gary,
Maybe you're referring to the Hawthorne? I think it's known under two names: Hawthorne Inn & Suites AND Monmouth Inn. Same place; same address..... 1200 West Broadway, just a few blocks West of the Square where the Monmouth Cruise is headquartered. The other hot place is the Super 8 at the North end of town.

I visited Mayor Brown a couple of weeks back and as we talked he received a phone call from the guys in Monmouth. For everyone's information, they have extended a warm invitation to all the Supercar Guys again. They have a spot reserved for these cars as they had in the past. If you've not attended the Monmouth Cruise you're missing one whale of a good time.
Steve Albert put together a great Friday night gathering in Macomb last year but it's a ton of work for one man and Steve has elected to pass this year. Thanks go to Steve for his hard work but we understand how much time it takes to pull this off. Still, we're looking forward to seeing Steve and Cathy again this year, wherever, but for this year, it's 'Back to Monmouth'!

Please make plans to attend the entire weekend in the Monmouth, LaHarpe and Macomb area the first weekend of August. Like they say on the USA network, "Characters Welcome!" (Obviously, this includes Boje, Howie, Annie and Mr. Barnhart........... so, YOU'VE BEEN WARNED!)

Cap't. Carl, see ya there.

Well, I knew it started with an "H", but that would be the place. We had a great time in '04, but missed last year with my car being broke. We're making plans for this year already.

Thanks for the info.

I thought we had that problem "covered" now?

Something else I failed to mention earlier: Kenny Brown has been working with the local officials as well. Lots of changes for the better at the LaHarpe Show too. Easier access for trailers, increased trailer parking, more area for the show cars, additional 'Check in' stations, more classes, ................. these guys really know how to cater to the show participants. A BIG to Kenny, Jerry, Bob L. and the whole crew.

If anyone wants more info, please check out www.fredgibb.com Everything you need to know, including contacts for Kenny and Bob is right there.

The best five weeks of the year happen in the month of August; beginning with the Gibb Show weekend, and wrapping up with the Supercar Reunion!
