This one looks technically correct for 71-73 as its missing the welded on second horn nut that was 70 only. It's easy to add the second nut without welding. Actually makes it a bit more "universal".

Either way, it's a great deal.

This is a spare from a 70 Z28 RS I am restoring and neither this one or the one on the car has the welded nut on the release. What I found was that the vertical support brace has the welded nut in it on the passenger side that would also support the horn. From what I can find in the assembly manual the support brace also shows the welded nut to bolt on the passenger side of the hood release and horn. Please correct me if I am wrong but I think this is correct.

The GM parts manual shows the 70 vertical support bracket with welded nut using the part number 3962995 (which is what I have) and states that is the same part number for 70-73 for RS and standard Camaro. Regardless, as stated, this release will fit those years and is a very good deal at that price.
