Wow...'70 'Cuda U-Code 440/4-sp/Dana Project
Sounds as though it was wrecked early in its life, partially rebodied, and disassembled decades ago. Doesn't look to be too bad of a restoration, although the original drivetrain was sold off over the years....

Huh, interesting story, but the pic of the inside with what appears to be a factory installed automatic floor shift and brake pedal doesn't quite fit with the original 4 speed story...
Left door, with tag, bought from the wreck and put on this car ? No fender tag doesn't bode well for authenticity of the body.

The other odd thing now that you mention the shifter - that handle is for a '71. A 1970 would have had a bulb shifter with the button on the top of it.

About the same as this one Tony posted the previous day. At least the Red one isn't a rust bomb, just seems to be gender confused. https://www.ebay.com/itm/12510403806...=10001&mkevt=1

"Radiator support from that front half was thrown out when it was wrecked and the cowl was never stamped from the factory. "
Uh-huh. Both of these items should have been stamped with the car's partial VIN.
