Is it my eyes or are there no tailpipes on the car in the last photo?

I remember seeing one at MCACN , if I remember correctly it was used @ Indy & was an L/89 ....

I don't think I have ever seen a photo with the wheels of the 67 pacer painted Bright Blue.
Had to be done by Chevrolet - does anyone know if the wheel color was spec'd on any of the engineering sheets?
