Default Need some expert info on 1972 chevelle eng!!

Anyone ever seen a baltimore built 72 chevelle Ls3 402 eng with a vin stamp by the oil filter area instead of the eng pad??? Its a April build if that matters Thanks

I personally haven’t seen a Baltimore car stamped down by the oil filter, but interested to see what others have to say about this. I actually had a Baltimore built 1972 U-code SS a few years back and the VIN was on the front pad.
