One of those cars was in North Vancouver years ago. It was always parked on Pemberton street in front of where the owner worked. He was always told that it wasn't a real Trans Am, so he repainted it silver. Then there was something in Hot Rod magazine about Trans Am convertibles, and Hot Rod saying there weren't any, but a couple of guys wrote in saying they had one. After some research, they claimed 3 built, then 5, then 8 after a few months. The guy in North Van researched his, and it turned out to be real! Cool stuff, and great to see the survival rate.
I have to get to that show one day.....

There was definitely a TA ragtop in Vancouver years ago and there was an article about it in MCR. The silver you you refer to is a hardtop, the ownwer still brings it out to the Can Tire gathering on occasion. GC knows the car and owner and the issue with the Silver paint, still wont change it back to original color.
