Default Rough but #s '69 Z/28 X77 Project

I remember when a car like this was much easier to find than they are today.... This car is pretty rough to say the least, but the original block and trans will justify someone restoring it. Originally Fathom Green on Green, not my favorite colors but not your typical red or yellow, either.... Also looks to be an original cowl hood car.

Gotta say, seeing this totally crap bodywork makes me remember when these were just cars. Even through the late 1980s to early 1990s, I remember guys in my hometown driving Z/28s and Super Sports around that looked just as rough.

This seller always has some great cars for sale - wonder where he finds them.

IT's real the tag has never been off and it's appears to be a factory cowl hood car as well... wonder if that is the 837 alt in the trunk?

Being a Chevelle guy but always wanting a '69 Z28, what held this car back price wise at $19400.00? Was that all the money for the car? It's not often a 69 Z comes up for sale with it's original engine and trans. Maybe a re-stamp? Bad colors in the green on green? They all need sheet metal work in this price range, right? Just the uncertainty of the economy? Just trying to educate myself. Thanks

They all need metal work in that range...even non z/28's. My buddy in the last 2 years sold a solid red, with black gut z28 project that needed alot of metal, and full resto for 27500...but all numbers were correct, and no question on the data plate or drivetrain numbers.

I would look at the member classifieds specifically to get a good idea for pricing.

Combination of things I would surmise. Biggest, however, would be the Green/Green color combo holding it back.

Thanks for the input. A member here once told me "Green is the kiss of death" It's interesting how tastes change over the years. If Camaros are anything like Chevelles, the greens, golds and dare I say it "softer" colors were built in much larger quantities than the red, black and blues everyone covets today. Just an observation.

Having owned and seen a lot of these over the years, I suggest there are three reasons:

3) Coronavirus
2) Green on green colors
1) Extensive rot and general 'been messed with' appearance

If this had been a Lemans Blue car I would have expected $21-22k, and $24-26k if it didn't look so beaten to hell.
