Need 69 Camaro outer door handles
Bought a pair of GM restoration parts and did not like the way the larger part of the handle fit up against the door. Any suggestions of what might fit good?

2nd on the trim parts. Gaskets arent the greatest. But the casting and chrome is good

Or, get a pair of originals and have them rechromed.

That's what I did. Sent my originals to Paul's Chrome, and they came back perfect. Cost a little more than the Trim Parts repops.

Gary, so what was the cost if you don't mind me asking? I have a couple sets of original door handles that I might want to go that route. and what did Paul do with the button? K

I have yet to find a good source of correct sized door handle gaskets, they are entirely too large they stick out the sides and really should be trimmed in order to look correct.

I think I paid about $250 for the pair, about 10-12 years ago. The button is stainless, and I had some excellent ones. I had to modify the length of the pin on the button, which I did with a piece of 16 penny nail, and a sleeve made from an old fuel line.

Note that there are tons of door handles which will fit and function as the original. The difference is the thickness of the handle. Some of the repops (not Trim Parts) are too thin. They will work, but feel funny when you grip them.
