Default Mileage Documentation

Going through old files on one of my cars. Organized a nice sequence of service receipts to show mileage throughout past ownership. Bought with about 54,614. Car now has 59,600. This shows documentation to use in possible future "For Sale" ad. Pretty amazing prices. Example, front end alignment 10 bucks! FUN!!! Danny

Richard Anderson sure loved his STP ...2 cans with every oil change ? ! Added to Pennzoil straight 30 weight. No wonder he kept having valve spring and stud issues.

I agree with the overuse of the STP... Crazy! I remember adding a 1/2 of a can to my Torino in HS about twice a year. Talk about Pennzoil gum-up with a added WAY too thickness on top of it. Nobody realized back then when you started the car cold and heard the mains knocking 3 or 4 times, that you should use THINNER oil to get into small clearance areas and lube them. NOT thicker. I was guilty of it too. D

That car really was enjoyed a lot in it's earlier days. Owner really put some miles on it. Cool you have the receipts.

For some reason, I find this kind of documentation very interesting and I have been known to pay more for cars with this kind of paper.

Several years ago, I had a 63 Corvette 340 coupe that had the best documentation of any 63 I've ever seen. I had everything except the window sticker, including a hand-written mileage log of every service from new and photos of all the owner with the car. Sadly, I had to sell it around 2018 (or thought I did).

When one of my current 63's came along with a 34 page narrative documenting the chain of ownership from new along with photos along the way, I thought lightning struck twice.

Also, the long term (~45 year) owner of my 63 fuel car reached out recently and said he has some stuff for me, we're meeting next week to find out exactly what that entails!

What you've got going here is priceless in my book. For me, a NOM car with awesome documentation and a story is a toss-up compared to an OM car with no background.
