Try this link. It will give you the info needed to decode the DOT number.

I'm finding they were made by Goodyear by the MD, and maybe the 7 is the year ? I can't find much more.. . Am I missing something on that site? Whats the LF and Y45?

Hello BIG
What it decodes to is:
MD - Goodyear Tire made in Gadsden, Alabama
LF - G70-14
Y45 - Manufacturers code for the tire
217 - Manufactured during 21st week of 1967, 77, 87, or 97. After 2000 the date code had 4 digits
Hopefully thats clear as mud.

Thank you Ervin. I guess I can safely assume it's a 77. This tire was not in production in 67, 87 or 97. I have a set of 4 all dated the same and just wanted to verify they were not modern reproduction replacements.
