this photo shows a 427 emblem mounted on the Chevy Bow tie

that is the same emblem treatment used on the gold Yenko Camaro magazine test car but looks like there are high/low holes left from the missing normal Yenko crest and 427 emblems locations

Ed is the ultimate humble gentleman. I don’t think Ed ever met a stranger....just a friend that he hasn’t spoken to yet. I need to tease him and tell him he was much better at driving forward than backwards...look at the one photo of the passenger side rear tail panel just below the bumper. Lol. It is an honor to chat with him.

in the drag test article with the gold demo Camaro, Ed's car has the Yenko crest and 427 emblem in the normal Yenko location.

In later pictures , Ed has the Chevy bowtie with the 67 Corvette 427 numbers on it like the gold demo car had but without the Yenko crest

Here's a few more pics including a couple later shots from when Chuck Wright had it.

.
So this is an early X66 01B Jan 1969 build Yenko with blackened tail, correct?

There are two holes on a diagonal, in the rear panel for the standard bowtie emblem. You drill one hole to the left of the upper left hole, and one hole to the right of the lower right hole. "Yenko" goes into the left pair of holes, and "427" goes into the right pair of holes.

The hood and fender holes are less precise, as they were installed by high school kids on the weekends. No two are the same, but the "427" was normally placed roughly in the middle of the raised area of the cowl hood, and the "Yenko" on the fender was normally placed so the middle point of the crest is about 1/2" below the bottom of the Camaro script, and about midway between the M and A in CaMAro.
