I had a B.B. LOS 69 RS Z that ended up being 100% proven real when I pulled the muncie and it had the VIN stamped on the top of the case.

Just curious, how does pulling a Muncie and finding it has your VIN on it prove it was a Z/28? Think your statement needs more info.

A Muncie 4-speed with genuine partial VIN from a '69 Camaro can't confirm exactly what engine the car left the factory with, but it can narrow it down. Per CRG transmission report (http://www.camaros.org/trans.shtml):
