I used it. I was not happy with it. I felt the color gray was too light and the splatter was hard to control. It would spit out large spots that you would have to go over and re-do.The video shows the car on it side on a rotator. This would probably be beneficial so you could keep the can up right/parellel to the surface you are spraying. It seems the large splatter spots came when the can was tilted. My two cents.

I was actually thinking of using blacK epoxy primer as a base and just use the spatter. You think that would work? I will also apply it like they did in the video.

I agree, rattle cans get the job done....but for accuracy and to duplicate it as GM did it....it needs a spray gun and the right person behind the spray gun.

I ended up buying a HVLP pressure pot to spray it.

come to think of it... A WAGNER Power painter may actually work well due to the way it vibrates/shakes and how it picks up and atomizes the paint...
I am digging out the Power Painter the next one I need to spray... I may be totally off however I believe this may do the trick.

I experimented and after quite a few tries used oil based enamel for dark gray mixed with latex thinned with deionized water. The thickness of the latex will cause either a spatter or strings more like LA assembled Camaros.
Keeping it agitated enough to keep everything in solution was the difficult issue... That's why I was thinking power painter, plus the spatter of the power painter would work well... (I think)

This is how the strings looked after spraying this 70 Camaro with the Berlage product. After a recent conversation with him he told me that the EPA forced them to reformulate it and it does not spray out as nice if you are wanting the stringy look.
