Notice on the TT the 3K which is ext mouldg. The drip rail SSteel trim is present and the double pin stripe down the side but the wheel well mouldings are not present. Could just be they were removed per owner preference.
Got any engine compartment pics? Curious about the brakes, fan shroud and radiator and small stuff.

Correct steering wheel horn button for an L78. I think it’s been repainted. Cool car!

They did a nice job on the front stripe if it has been repainted. Very cool car but I prefer the earlier wheels and lettering.

... I recently purchased this SS 396/375 Camero.
... It is a 4P car.
... It has not been repainted.
... It has always been a drag car.
... 1122 actual miles.
... It going to clean up very nicely and I plan on leaving it as it has always been.

John, I sent you a pm. Congrats and glad you are keeping it as is. Earliest known L78 to be sold to public to date if I'm not mistaken..

owner must have sprayed the tail panel blue. the tail panels were all painted black when the 396-325 came out in january. i’m sure there’s the black under the blue paint.

Pop the trunk and snag some photos and you will be able to tell for certain.

With the 4P on the trim tag, wouldn't this appear to Fisher to be an SS350 and therefore get the body color rear panel as opposed to the 396/325 getting the 4N which would indicate black rear body panel? Then, when the 4K came out they knew to paint the rear panel black? Just thinking out loud which I know is dangerous.

... I will get some photos of that to share with all of you.
... I had heard that the 4P was a Body by Fisher code that said that the back panel was to be painted the same color as the rest of the car ... like the Original 1967 PaceCar which was also a 375 car with 4P ... correct me if I am wrong.
