Thanks for all the replies so far...yup I'm looking for the type indentified in this pic. Am hoping to find some originals but if I gotta fab some up like Sammy said that'll be plan B.
It's also good to know the u-bolt is currently available though also.

Fred, if you are talking the wide, square bars pre 71 don't think anybody carries the wider heavy "U" bolts anymore. The ones from Summit, Jegs etc. will not fit.

I thought the square bars used the "twisted flat" bracket in that location. ????

Lakewood offered the "twisted cleat" for their early square tube bars.

I have a pair of the early Camaro square tube bars. They are angled cut on both ends, and only have one hole up front for the snubber. The original instructions show the angle cut on both ends, and they are also painted black.

Sometime in the future I will take pictures and do a comparison of the 1st and 2nd design Lakewood square tube Camaro bars and the related J Bolt kits.

Dave, as soon as I can locate the early square tube bars I will post the differences between the twisted cleat and the U shaped bracket. Will start a new thread in the day 2 stuff section. Those bars are packed away in an unknown location at the moment and I will try to find them soon.....Warren

Here's a set I've had for years now refinished and on my 69Z...Warren I believe saw these mounted when he came down to pick-up an SS Hood.
Sam,
You're correct,LAKEWOOD Does not manufacture the 2 1/2" Stirrups any longer. (They may, on request run a dozen or so pairs of stirrups) They do market the J bolt kit with 1 1/2" stirrups Part #20580 and 1 1/2" #??? & 2 1/2" Part #20570 U bolts, 2 various sized snubbers #20530 thru all the Major Speed outlets nationwide.

I have 1 set of N.O.S. (1 package) ALL OUT COMPETITION Part #20560 LAKEWOOD 2 1/2" Inch J Bolt/Stirrup kit that I may be willing to 'lend out' for a pattern if, someone wants to make a number of accurate stirrups.

I have been in communications with Paul Tholey (pxtx) and he may be fabricating some...maybe he can chime in on what his plans are.
Tom (daytwo69z) would it be possible to take dimensions off you extra part and shoot them over to Paul (pxtx)?...he posted earlier in this thread so he should be easy to find.

Thanks guys...
~Fred
