Gen 5 COPO Horsepower
Does anyone know or have a good reference for the actual stock HP output of the Gen5 COPO Camaro engines?

Re: Gen 5 COPO Horsepower
It depends on which engine / class specification you want.
The most powerful engine is a Blown 350ci which is designed to run 8.50 or slower as the cage is rated for 8.50s. COPO specs |

Re: Gen 5 COPO Horsepower
I'm most interested in what the 427 puts out....any word on the flywheel horsepower for those engines?

Re: Gen 5 COPO Horsepower
I've heard that it's 1,200 on the COPO 427, from someone who just picked theirs up this past Friday, from the plant.

Re: Gen 5 COPO Horsepower
Wonder why they stopped using the 4.0L Whipple.. Or am I misreading the info online? That would be a killer setup on a 350 or 396..
