Do the docs look correct? Found after the bat ad?

BIN now lowered $10K to $69,995. If a real car, then the price is quite attractive. It just seems suspect that the car was for sale listed on BAT with an L-78 without any documents except a scrap of the tank sticker which does not list the engine and bid to $43K two years ago and now it's on Ebay with pristine full set of documents. A VIN search shows it was sold on Ebay for $14K out of CA painted purple as an SS350 car originally an automatic and converted to 4 speed. Hard to say what's true for sure. If it was an automatic from the factory that would rule out being an L-78 except for the unicorn car that Charley saw in CA.

Perhaps pre-resto photos exist that might show evidence of L-78, but for a full set of paperwork to appear would need an explanation from the Seller for a potential buyer to have confidence they are buying a legit L-78. Norwood built cars have "L78" stamped on their trim tag, so easier to document without paperwork. VN cars a bit more difficult.

Needs a few things to make it more correct, but for the price seems like a nice enough car and couldn't be duplicated for the asking price.

Post 70 l78...

Now the discussion is getting interesting...I was tempted to bring up the document questions. The VIN search info is an eye opener...

Another good example of the unique knowledge base that exists on the SYC...

The real cars will always do well in the daylight...the others need to stay in a dark garage.

I hope it is real, not many of the 70 L78 cars left around. A nice set of Mag wheels would make this car look a lot different.
I would think some of the guys here on the site could tell if the paper work is fake. Looks like the seller would step up and clear the air on this matter.

It is a neat car but probably need to do some research before add this one to a collection.

Original paperwork would have definitely been mentioned in that 2019 Facebook ad , that guy covered all the bases on that sale!!!

Short of a miracle the current owner somehow located all the pristine 50 year old paperwork, it is unlikely to be original to the car Could be a real L-78 car, but I wouldn't count on the paperwork being authentic.

With that said, you couldn't duplicate the car for the asking price. Those are hard to find and expensive parts. Would easily cost more than $100K to build that car if you paid someone.

Needless to say very suspect. The past ads and vin search make it very unbelievable that this is a real L78 car.

Blow up and look at the pic of the door hinge area on the drivers side and you can see the quality of workmanship.....
