Logan Chevrolet - Walla Walla Washington
Does anybody have any info. regarding this dealership from the 60's?
It appears they were operating since the 30's and closed some time in the 80's? I am also looking for a license plate frame and other advertising material if available? Thanks Paul |

Thanks Pete,
Yes I did see those pics.....and that is pretty much all there is for Logan Chevrolet. It gets even more unique from here...... What is interesting is the the 1965 Chev pick up was built at the Fremont Chevrolet plant in August of 1964 ( I have the assembly line build sheet) and shipped north to the original ordering dealer, Burton Chevrolet in Oakridge Oregon. And what I find even stranger is that there are no pics anywhere for this dealership. Did it just vanish without anybody cracking a pic......strange. Then in August of 1965, it gets dealer transferred almost 400 miles to Logan Chevrolet in Washington where it is sold in August of 1965, as per the protecto-plate. If anybody has any info. or POS material from either dealer, please let me know, especially a Logan Chevrolet license plate frame. Thanks again guys, Paul |

I have a good friend who lives in Walla Walla and is a serious Chevy Guy. I will ask him. Paul

As noted above, little seems to exist of Burton Chevrolet Oakridge also anything of it easily mixed up w/ other Burton Chevy operations including one in Harrisburg Oregon that appears to have closed in the late 50's. Below is the only ad I could find from Burton Chev Oakridge also a few more Logan Chevy Walla Walla ads and pics too. Logan's Dealer Code was 19-287 but if your paperwork includes the Burton Oakridge Code, please post it here Paul. ~ Pete .

Thanks Pete,
"Logan's Dealer Code was 19-287 but if your paperwork includes the Burton Oakridge Code, please post it here Paul" I have the assembly line build sheet but some of the info. is difficult to read. As far as the dealer code for Burton Chevrolet Co in Oakridge it starts out with "Zone 19" and "Dealer Number 05?". I am unable to make out the third digit. Paul |

Thank you BIG time Canuck,
Paul took the time to contact one of his buddies in Walla Walla who just happens to be a GM muscle car collector. I spoke with him for some time and he has since contacted another friend in the same town who just happened to be a technician at Logan Chevrolet back in the day. Sometimes I cannot believe my luck and most of the time I cannot believe the wealth of knowledge and assistance that is offered on this site. Once again.....thank you Mike. Paul |
