It had to have power brakes. also a special 15" tire sticker in the glove box door.

This link should provide a good starting point:

There are some other clues to look for also.

Single 3/8" Fuel line and sending unit.

Specific emblems, holes and placement.

Look for signs of original white paint stripes in the cowl vent area.

Close Ratio Pitman Arm

Tachometer Red line

etc.

Im going to check the car out again, I was looking at another one there then started thinking about the rear springs last night on the 68, It was originally lemans blue on blue but in the 70's 80's era im guessing it got one of those real nice custom dark blue light blue and yellow zig zag stripes I smoke alot of dope paint jobs.... so no emblems I will check the back side of the fenders and glove box, tac etc this time.

Glove box sticker not proof anymore. Documented 15" wheel option found on that 68 SS with the same sticker that Z/28's had.

I would say it is a pretty good sign based on the other things he has mentioned.

Single fuel line, 12 bolt and 4 leaf springs not at all proof of Z/28.

Just curious, what 15 inch wheel was used on a '68 SS Camaro that would be symanomous with a '68 Z28?

I'm eager to learn more about the '68s.

Thanks,
Dan

I would agree, I was not there to look at this car but another car but last night I thought about the rear and springs and the gears got grinding so I need to go back for a inspection. we will see....
