----Correct on all those items, Rick! I'm also pretty sure that an LS6 would have a Malibu chrome emblem on the door panels, not SS. Red Alert had Malibu emblems. Being a Van Nuys build might be different as I haven't seen many of them.
Still,,,,What a gorgeous color combo that I don't ever remember seeing!.....Bill S

My '70 LS5 that I bought from the original owner in 1973 had Malibu on the door panels. I always thought the factory had put the wrong panels on, until I saw a couple more LS 5-6 cars at the drag strip.

They started out like that, but later corrected their omitted RPO B-22 SS door emblem mistake by end of production.
A bulletin was released during mid production that this was lost in translation @ the factory, when the upgrade from the Z-25 396 Super Sport option was made to the new Z-15 454.

My car was a January build that was ordered in December, so I was told, so was one of the first batch produced. I'll have to look at the build date on the block to be certain. I still have the LS5 in my '66 SS. Actually, it's in the avatar pic now.

You don't have to look,January is early confirmation enough as they didn't start pushing out the LS-6 until December '69.
