----Correct on all those items, Rick! I'm also pretty sure that an LS6 would have a Malibu chrome emblem on the door panels, not SS. Red Alert had Malibu emblems. Being a Van Nuys build might be different as I haven't seen many of them.

My '70 LS5 that I bought from the original owner in 1973 had Malibu on the door panels. I always thought the factory had put the wrong panels on, until I saw a couple more LS 5-6 cars at the drag strip.

They started out like that,but later corrected their omitted RPO B-22 SS door emblem mistake by end of production.
A bulletin was released during mid production that this was lost in translation @ the factory,when the upgrade from the Z-25 396 Super Sport option was made to the new Z-15 454. |

My car was a January build that was ordered in December, so I was told, so was one of the first batch produced. I'll have to look at the build date on the block to be certain. I still have the LS5 in my '66 SS. Actually, it's in the avatar pic now.
